About
Providing spiritual guidance in the Catholic tradition to nurture faith and ethical values.
Founded on the principles of education and faith, OLA Girls Secondary School, Kenyasi, has been a cornerstone of academic excellence and spiritual growth for decades. Our school is dedicated to nurturing well-rounded students who excel both academically and in character. The school was founded with the aim of providing quality education to young women while fostering strong moral values. As a Catholic institution, we are inspired by the teachings of the church, placing great emphasis on both academic achievement and the formation of integrity and virtue.
We aspire to educate young minds in a holistic manner, focusing on academic achievement, moral discipline, and spiritual growth. We believe in preparing students to meet the challenges of the world with wisdom, compassion, and courage.
History
The school was founded by the Paramount Chief of Kenyasi II, Odeneho Dadeako Kwabena Nsiah-Ababio II, his elders, and the youth. They aimed to establish a girls’ secondary school in their area to support young girls in acquiring formal education. To achieve this dream, they approached the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani, Most Rev. James Owusu (of blessed memory), who in turn, contacted the OLA sisters.
